On June 30, 1989, at 8:10 p.m., station
manager Cecil Glass cued up "I Am In His
Care" by Palmetto State: the first
song played on WVHM-FM 90.5. Today,
8,000-watt WVHM main signal in Hardin boosts
southern gospel music and programming to
western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee
with translators in Madisonville and Central
City, Kentucky. Thousands
of people tune in daily!
Like all
stations in the HMI family, WVHM is a
ministry first - a ministry that happens to
be a radio station. We are supported
by listeners, churches, and businesses who
believe in what we do: provide music
and programming that makes our community a
better place.
