On March 1, 2006, 89-7 began broadcasting
the newest music format at Heartland
Ministries: bluegrass! As the
only regional radio station to carry
bluegrass as its exclusive music mix, WAAJ
has attempted to provide its listeners with
a blend of gospel, traditional, and
all-around wholesome music.
As with all the
stations in the HMI family, WAAJ is
supported by listeners, churches, and
businesses who want to keep a format that is
important to them alive and well on the
airwaves of west Kentucky. We are a
non-commercial, non-profit 501(c)3
organization, and all donations are tax-deductable.
